What does the job involve?
Ship Operator with responsibility for planning, scheduling, and managing the shipments of commodities (crude oil and oil products) within the waterborne tanker segment.As a Ship Operator, you are utilizing your knowledge to independently solve complex tasks with a short-term operational risk. You independently communicate within the immediate team, across different areas, and towards key stakeholders, including partners or external parties. You adhere to established procedures and identify as well as resolve challenges. You proactively seek continuous improvement, embrace change and ambiguity. You demonstrate flexibility to adopt new activities and ways of working and take ownership of your own work. You follow and comply with safety, ethics, and compliance requirements and align with leadership expectations and company values.
What will my tasks be?
Within this position, your key tasks will be to:
Manage and optimize the transportation of assigned commodities in the energy portfolio, ensuring efficient flow assurance.
Plan and schedule the transport of oil commodities, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing disruptions in close coordination with traders, chartering, cargo operations, vetting and other internal and external stakeholders.
Coordinate with shippers, agents, port authorities, bunker suppliers, and terminals to manage scheduling changes and ensure smooth operations.
Stay updated on industry trends, shipping sustainability and regulations incl. tariffs and sanctions, related to energy transportation and flow assurance.
Responsible for correct, timely updates of relevant operational and reporting systems.
Participating in the on-call duty system within the operation team.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Maritime, Economics, Logistics, or related disciplines.
Experience from trading operations from an oil company, trading house or ship- owner is an advantage.
Minimum 5-7 years of operational experience as a ship operator for oil tankers (MRs to VLCCs).
Familiar with both CPP / DDP tanker operations / segments.
Familiar with using IT technology, IMOS and other (voyage) systems is an advantage.
Interest for- and knowledge about alternative fuels, regulatory requirements etc.is an advantage.
Proficiency in English language is required; Mandarin is an advantage.

Applying strong commercial mindset in supporting the charterer and traders PnL targets.
