Position Overview
The Shipper is responsible for preparing, verifying, and processing outgoing customer orders while ensuring shipments are accurate, timely, and meet company quality and safety standards. This role works closely with warehouse, production, and customer service teams to support efficient shipping operations and maintain customer satisfaction. By ensuring the timely and accurate shipment of products, the Shipper plays a key role in supporting operational goals and delivering an excellent customer experience.
Schedule:
First Shift Monday - Thursday 5:00am to 3:00pm (Overtime may be required some Fridays and Saturdays as needed)
What you'll do
- Prepare, verify, and process outgoing customer orders while ensuring accurate, timely, and safe shipments.
- Move raw materials and supplies, package finished goods and prepare orders for shipment based on production demands and operational needs.
- Read and follow Standard Work, Job Instructions, product labels, shipping documentation, and other written or electronic instructions.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, material handling equipment, fixtures, shipping systems, and testing or measuring equipment.
- Follow all safety requirements, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and comply with company quality standards.
- Meet daily production targets, report quality, process, equipment, or material issues, and help minimize material scrap and wasted time.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area by following 5S principles, provide hands-on training to coworkers as needed, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain regular attendance and work overtime as required to support business needs.
- All other duties as assigned
Who you are
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Six (6) months of experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or general labor environment is preferred.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow Standard Work, Job Instructions, product labels, shipping documentation, and other written or electronic instructions.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, material handling equipment, fixtures, shipping systems, and testing or measuring equipment.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and meet daily production targets.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance and work overtime as needed.
- Commitment to following all safety requirements, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
