Shipping and Receiving Lead
A Day in the Life:
In the position of Manufacturing Shipping & Receiving Lead, you will coordinate and maintain regular contact with freight carriers and forwarders. Prepare Bill of Lading (BOL), packing list, and Post Goods Issue (PGI) Shutdown, Turnaround, and Outages (STOs). Oversee staff and ensure daily tasks are completed on a timely and safe manner. Serve as backup support to the supervisor.
The Impact You'll Make:
- Coordinate and maintain regular contact with freight carriers: prepare BOL, packing list, and shipping documents. PGI, shipping transactions in SAP.
- Assist with partial pallets consolidation. Operate forklift and other equipment as needed. Analyze outbound for cross dock opportunities and track outbound on time deliveries.
- Assist with discrepancies of shipments including providing proof of delivery, packing list, back order. Review shortage report, stock and communicate with transportation, logistics.
- Assign and perform daily cycle counts to guarantee an accurate and consistent inventory. Support team when required.
- Supervise shipping staff and monitor performance on assigned daily tasks. Maintain office functions including filing, billing, and match receiving paperwork.
Who You Are:
- Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in the field of Manufacturing, Operations Management or related field of study
- Additional Experience Desired: Between 1-3 years of experience in Warehouse Material Handler role
- Additional Experience Desired: Between 1-3 years of experience in quality control, manufacturing
- Computer Skills Desired: Proficiency with standard office software (such as MS Office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Expertise in WMS (Warehouse Management Systems)
- Preferred Certifications: Forklift Certification
