Shipping Executive (Ocean Freight Operations)

Job Summary:

Detail-oriented logistics professional to manage ocean shipments, ensure accurate documentation, and deliver seamless end-to-end freight operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate ocean shipments with clients, overseas agents, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations
• Manage end-to-end sea freight processes, including booking, documentation, and delivery arrangements
• Prepare and verify import/export documentation (e.g. HB/L, MBL, manifests, pre-alerts, customs declarations)
• Perform TradeNet submissions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Monitor shipment timelines, costs, and service quality to meet customer requirements
• Liaise with shipping lines, transport teams, trucking partners, and warehouses for efficient cargo movement
• Resolve shipment issues, including discrepancies, damages, and short-landed cargo
• Maintain accurate system data entries and shipment records
• Ensure all billing is completed accurately and collections are made on time
• Respond to customer inquiries and manage complaint resolution professionally
• Verify vendor costs, prepare payment vouchers, and close shipment files with proper documentation
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety & Health procedures at all times
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors

Requirements

• Knowledge of freight forwarding, import/export procedures, or permit declaration
• Familiarity with TradeNet operations and shipping documentation processes
• Willingness to work overtime when required
• Ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and coordination capabilities
