Shop Operator 1 - MFG - 2nd Shift

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set up and operate CNC, NC, lathes and semi automatic.
  • Study blueprints, layouts, sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operation, and setup requirements.
  • Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
  • Verify completed work with the tolerance limits stated in the specifications.
  • Work with minimum supervision.
  • Provide on the job training to new employees as needed.
  • Follow all safety and health policies and procedures issued by the company.
  • Other duties as assigned.​​​​​​​

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Ability to read tape measure accurately.
  • Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials up to 50 pounds. Machinery and tool operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; safety eyeglasses, hearing protectors, steel toed work boots, and gloves.
