Site Engineer (LTA)
Job Description
- Review, interpret, and coordinate project drawings, specifications, and design requirements, highlighting any discrepancies and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards
- Prepare and monitor project schedules to align with the Project Master Schedule
- Identify and report potential issues affecting project timelines, cost, or quality to the Construction Manager / Project Manager
- Prepare and submit Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and Safe Work Procedures for site activities
- Plan and propose temporary works, site logistics, utilities, materials, manpower, and equipment requirements
- Coordinate with design teams on technical and site-related matters
- Attend design meetings, weekly progress meetings, and internal coordination meetings with subcontractors and suppliers
- Conduct daily toolbox meetings and pre-start briefings for supervisors and workers
- Ensure works are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved methods and drawings
- Review and prepare material requisitions and site documentation
- Manage Permit-to-Work (PTW) processes and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Conduct site inspections with clients and consultants (QPS / RE / RTO) and close RFIs and comments
- Oversee daily site operations and report progress to Project / Construction Managers
- Liaise with surveyors to ensure works are carried out according to approved survey plans
- Monitor instrumentation readings and report any abnormal readings promptly
- Foster strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental requirements on site
Job Requirement
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification recognised by the PE Board or relevant authorities
- Minimum 3 years of engineering experience
- Experience in MRT / infrastructure projects under the Land Transport Authority (LTA) will be an advantage
- Experience in traffic diversion, utility diversion, and viaduct works will be an added advantage
- Eligible for Resident Engineer application or equivalent accreditation (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, and project coordination
- Good communication, planning, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work on site, including night shifts or shift work when required
- Able to start immediately or on short notice will be an added advantage
