POSITION SUMMARY

The Site Manager is responsible for the overall operational performance of the facility, including safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people (SQDCP). This role leads day-to-day site execution, drives alignment to S&OP objectives, and builds a disciplined, high-performance culture through strong shop floor management and leadership presence.

The Site Manager is accountable for operational execution, team development, continuous improvement, and financial performance of the site.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Site Leadership & Operations

  • Lead site operations with accountability for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people (SQDCP).
  • Execute daily, weekly, and monthly production plans aligned with S&OP objectives.
  • Drive operational performance in uptime, throughput, cost per unit, grade recovery, and waste reduction.
  • Maintain a disciplined shop floor management system, including Level 1 accountability meetings, KPI boards, and escalation processes.
  • Implement leader standard work with consistent Gemba presence and follow-through to action plans.
  • Ensure operational processes are executed safely, efficiently, and consistently.

Safety, Quality & Culture

  • Reinforce a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with all regulatory and company safety requirements.
  • Support execution of safety improvement processes, including HIRAs, RCAs, and corrective actions.
  • Promote a quality-focused culture that meets customer expectations and operational standards.
  • Drive accountability, communication, and engagement across all levels of the site.

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, reliability, yield, and cost reduction.
  • Utilize KPIs and Gemba leadership to identify and eliminate operational losses.
  • Standardize and sustain best practices across site operations.
  • Challenge existing processes and drive practical operational improvements.

Financial & Performance Management

  • Own site cost-per-unit performance and operational metrics.
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support capital planning and execution of site improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate and timely operational reporting.

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Build and develop high-performing teams through coaching, accountability, and performance management.
  • Establish clear expectations and reinforce operational discipline throughout the site.
  • Conduct meaningful performance discussions and support employee development.
  • Promote the NWH values and foster a culture of continuous growth and teamwork.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent manufacturing leadership experience.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Strong operational and financial acumen.
  • Ability to lead in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred

  • Wood products or industrial manufacturing experience.
  • Lean / Continuous Improvement experience.
  • Experience with shop floor management systems and KPI-driven operations.
  • Strong leadership presence and communication skills.
