Site Manager - Installation & Commissioning

Job Summary

As a Site Manager – Installation & Commissioning, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating all on-site activities related to installation, mechanical completion and early commissioning phases of processing equipment projects. Acting as the Tetra Pak site representative, you will ensure installation activities, suppliers and interfaces are executed safely, efficiently and according to plan, in close coordination with the Project Manager, who retains overall project responsibility.

This is a permanent position based in Monza. Estimated travelling will be up to 80% of your time mainly in Italy and occasionally to Greece.

What you will do

  • Lead and coordinate installation activities on site (equipment, piping, utilities)
  • Supervise contractors and suppliers ensuring alignment and quality
  • Ensure compliance with technical documentation and hygienic design standards
  • Support early commissioning activities: signal checks, utilities validation and readiness for functional tests
  • Manage daily site activities and planning, including meetings and reporting
  • Maintain site log, track deviations and escalate issues to Project Manager
  • Ensure adherence to OHS standards and project safety requirements
  • Manage and follow-up installation deviations, risks and scope changes
  • Prepare site readiness for commissioning and handover

Project Alignment and Reporting

  • Act as the primary on-site interface towards the Project Manager
  • Provide continuous and proactive updates on progress, risks and issues
  • Escalate deviations impacting time, cost or quality
  • Ensure structured reporting (site reports, logs and escalation paths)
  • Support the Project Manager in maintaining control of scope, schedule and risks
  • Work under direction of the Project Manager, ensuring alignment with project objectives

We believe you have

  • Engineering degree in Process, Mechanical or Industrial field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in industrial installations and site supervision.
  • Food industry experience will be preferred. Experience in the Pharmaceutical or Oil & Gas sectors will be considered an advantage.
  • Knowledge of utilities and hygienic design (preferred).
  • Strong coordination and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead teams on site and to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Fluency in Italian and good command of English.
