The opportunity
This role sits within a high-performing Cloud Operations team responsible for managing and evolving the University's cloud platforms and services.
You'll work across a diverse multi-cloud environment (AWS & Azure), tackling complex infrastructure, networking and security challenges while driving automation and operational improvements that enable teams to move faster and more securely.
Partnering with experienced engineers, managed service providers and stakeholders across ICT, you'll play a key role in delivering secure, reliable and scalable cloud services while helping shape the team's future ways of working.
What you’ll do
Support and optimise cloud platforms across AWS, Azure and hybrid environments.
Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking and security issues to maintain reliable services.
Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce risk.
Collaborate with managed service providers, technical teams and stakeholders to deliver cloud solutions and service improvements.
Monitor cloud performance, availability, security and cost, helping ensure services remain scalable and fit for purpose.
What we’re looking for
Must have experienced working in large and complex enterprise environments.
Strong experience supporting cloud infrastructure within AWS, Azure or multi-cloud environments.
Knowledge of cloud networking, security, infrastructure operations and troubleshooting complex technical issues.
Experience working with automation, DevOps practices, monitoring tools and modern cloud operations.
Sound stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement, operational excellence and cloud technologies.
