Position Description
Purpose
Reporting to the Construction Superintendent, the Site Supervisor (Civil Mech) is an integral member of the EPC team supporting the BHP project.
The primary objective of the role is to provide support to the Construction/ Project Team overseeing works at site for Civil and Mechanical installation.
Ensuring that projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget, as the critical link between high-level project strategy and on-site execution.
Technical
·Coordinate closely with suppliers and contractors to manage deliveries, ensuring appropriate laydown areas, access for unloading and correct storage of materials and equipment
·Maintain daily engagement with Civil and Mechanical contractors to monitor progress, address issues and ensure alignment with project objectives
·Conduct regular site inspections, actively participate in field leadership activities and carry out Safety Assurance Observations (SAOs)
·Review and verify quality assurance documentation, ensuring QA packs are completed accurately and in a timely manner, and coordinate witness and hold points with the client and relevant stakeholders
·Lead and support contractor workshops to develop and refine detailed work packs to support safe and efficient execution
·Plan and sequence works to ensure installation activities progress without delays, proactively managing materials, equipment and resource availability through forward planning
·Ensure all personnel are working to the latest approved drawings and revisions, maintaining strict document control on site
·Enforce compliance with the Safety Management Plan at all times, promoting a strong safety culture across all site activities
·Review and track the programme of works, identifying potential delays early and providing timely updates to the project team to enable mitigation and minimise impacts to schedule

Technical Delivery
- 100% compliance with Safety Management plan KPI’s
- 100% compliance with ensuring QA inspection hold points and witness points with relevant stakeholders are scheduled and communicated
- 100% compliance with no “reworks” due to incorrect drawing revisions being used in the field
- 100% compliance with programme updates completed weekly to the project team

- Maintain effective relationships with Customers

Required Qualifications / Experience / Skills
- Proven experience leading teams or supervising work crews
- Strong understanding of site operations, safety processes and compliance requirements
- Civil or mechanical trade qualifications
- Qualified Statutory Supervisor under Schedule 26 of the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022 preferred
- White Card
- High risk work licences
- First aid certification
- Ability to manage contractors and coordinate multiple trades
- Ability to read plans, schedules, and technical documentation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications:

- PowerPoint (Desirable)
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure environments
