Small Cell Technician I
Ridge Equipment Company is seeking a Small Cell Technician to join our growing team. A Small Cell Technician is expected to complete scopes of work assigned while ensuring safety, quality, and timelines. Work items include grounding, trenching, installation of antennas, all types of antenna mounts, coax lines, RF jumpers, remote electrical down-tilts, installation of remote radio heads, fiber/DC hybrid cables, sweep and PIM testing, fiber testing, concrete work, and maintenance-type items. They will adhere to OSHA, NATE, customer, and wireless industry standards and quality.
Responsibilities
- Perform elevated work on small cell sites daily to conduct repair and install equipment; may include multiple sites daily
- Operate and adjust commonly used tools in the wireless industry effectively and efficiently
- Coax lines, category cables, and fiber cables are installed both outside and inside cell shelters.
- Work with third-party QA services to close out installations.
- Perform civil work to include trenching, digging, concrete forming, and pouring in limited cases.
- The supervisor may assign additional tasks.
Requirements
- Must be able to climb extension ladders up to 30'
- Must be able to drive and work on aerial lifts
- Some night and weekend work will be required
- Must be able to drive and must have a clean driving record
- The candidate must have the ability to work outdoors for extended periods, occasionally exposing themselves to inclement weather.
- The candidate must possess the ability to operate on an elevated platform while carrying a 50 lb. load.
- Must pass a drug test and background check

Location: Job sites in the MD/DC/VA area.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: None required; 1 to 3 years industry experience preferred
Clearance: Must be able to pass a standard background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug test.

Pay Range: $21/hour
