SME Tax Manager

You will act as the subject matter expert for information reporting, translating complex tax rules into actionable product logic and commercial guidance. You will engage with sales and marketing to create enablement materials and thought leadership, work directly with prospects on strategic deals, and monitor regulatory changes. You will partner with Customer Operations to drive implementations, troubleshoot filing errors during peak seasons, and conduct workshops to upskill Customer Success. You will collaborate with Product and Engineering to define business requirements for the AEOI engine, validate output files (Forms 1099, 1042-S, XML), and ensure accurate data integration.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with sales and business development to execute go-to-market expansion and provide tax enablement
  • Advise and engage directly with prospects to accelerate strategic deals
  • Develop white papers, webinars, and thought-leadership content and monitor regulatory changes
  • Partner with Customer Operations to drive platform implementations
  • Provide customer and internal support during peak filing seasons and troubleshoot complex filing errors
  • Conduct workshops to train Customer Success on withholding and reporting nuances
  • Perform in-depth discovery to understand customer business, processes, and products
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product to ensure accurate data integration and completeness
  • Define and document business requirements for the AEOI (FATCA/CRS) engine
  • Validate product outputs (Forms 1099, 1042-S, XML) to meet tax authority standards

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of income tax experience in public accounting or industry
  • Degree in accounting
  • CPA certification
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Excel; working knowledge of SQL and VBA; experience with business intelligence tools like Alteryx is a plus
  • Experience working with data and data normalization for solution development
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to learn digital assets, accounting, and finance subject matter
  • Must currently reside in Singapore and be legally authorized to work in Singapore with on-site availability
  • Mandarin language skills preferred
