<\/p>Job\nSummary<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>The SMT\nEquipment Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the maintenance,\ntroubleshooting, and continuous improvement of Surface Mount Technology (SMT)\nproduction equipment to ensure maximum uptime, quality, and efficiency in an\nEMS manufacturing environment.<\/span>
<\/p>Key\nResponsibilities<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>Equipment\nMaintenance & Troubleshooting<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective\n maintenance of SMT machines such as:<\/span>
<\/li>- Pick & Place machines\n (e.g., Fuji, Panasonic, ASM, Yamaha)<\/span>
<\/li>- Solder Paste Printers\n (e.g., DEK, MPM)<\/span>
<\/li>- Reflow Ovens (e.g.,\n Heller, Vitronics)<\/span>
<\/li>- SPI (Solder Paste\n Inspection) & AOI systems<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical,\n pneumatic, and software\-related issues.<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>Line\nSupport & Uptime Improvement<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>- Provide real\-time technical support to SMT\n production lines.<\/span>
<\/li>- Minimize downtime and ensure quick machine\n recovery.<\/span>
<\/li>- Maintain MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) and\n MTTR (Mean Time To Repair) targets.<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>Preventive\nMaintenance Planning<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>- Develop and execute preventive maintenance\n schedules.<\/span>
<\/li>- Maintain maintenance records and logs.<\/span>
<\/li>- Ensure calibration of critical equipment.<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>Installation\n& Commissioning<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>- Support installation, setup, and qualification\n of new SMT equipment.<\/span>
<\/li>- Coordinate with vendors during machine\n installation and upgrades.<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>Process\n& Equipment Optimization<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>- Analyze recurring issues and implement\n corrective actions.<\/span>
<\/li>- Suggest improvements for machine efficiency\n and yield enhancement.<\/span>
<\/li>- Participate in continuous improvement\n initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma).<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>Spare\nParts & Inventory Management<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>- Manage critical spare parts inventory.<\/span>
<\/li>- Coordinate with procurement for timely\n availability of parts.<\/span>
<\/li>- Optimize inventory to reduce costs without\n affecting uptime.<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>Documentation\n& Compliance<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>- Maintain SOPs, work instructions, and\n maintenance checklists.<\/span>
<\/li>- Ensure compliance with ESD, safety, and\n quality standards (ISO, IPC).<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>Training\n& Skill Development<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>- Train technicians and operators on equipment\n handling and basic troubleshooting.<\/span>
<\/li>- Upgrade skills based on new technologies and\n equipment.<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>Qualifications<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>- Bachelor\u2019s Degree / Diploma in: Electronics Engineering /\n Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics or related field<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>Experience<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>- 3\u20138 years of experience in SMT equipment\n maintenance in an EMS environment.<\/span>
<\/li>- Hands\-on experience with major SMT machine\n brands.<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>Technical\nSkills<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>- Strong knowledge of SMT processes and equipment.<\/span>
<\/li>- Ability to read electrical schematics and\n mechanical drawings.<\/span>
<\/li>- Experience with PLCs, sensors, servo systems,\n and vision systems.<\/span>
<\/li>- Familiarity with IPC standards (e.g.,\n IPC\-A\-610).<\/span>
