Snr. / Project Engineer (Electrical)
Job Description & Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, earthing, and control systems, tailored to specific building and operational requirements.
- Perform electrical load calculations, short circuit analysis, voltage drop calculations, and system sizing to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Select appropriate electrical equipment (e.g., switchgear, transformers, panels) based on technical specifications and project requirements.
- Provide guidance to the drafting team on updates or changes to electrical layouts, schematics, and single-line diagrams using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP).
- Ensure all designs and installations comply with relevant codes, safety regulations, and energy efficiency standards (e.g., BCA, SS, IEC, ISO).
- Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare detailed documentation including technical reports, cost estimates, and operation and maintenance manuals.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in electrical system design and project implementation.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, control panels, and wiring standards.
- Experience in project coordination or site supervision for electrical works.
