About the role
As a Social Media Executive at Hargreaves Lansdown (HL), you will be responsible for the delivery and optimisation of social media content across all platforms. You will play a key role in enhancing brand awareness, engaging with our audience, and driving traffic and conversions through compelling and compliant content. This role requires an organised individual with a creative mindset, the highest of content production standards and a deep understanding of social media trends and analytics.What you’ll be doing
- Managing day-to-day operations of HL’s social media channels including content planning, publishing, and community management.
- Collaborating with internal teams including studio, design, brand, PR, and compliance to ensure HL delivers best-in-market content.
- Liaising with HL’s influencer and creator networks and making recommendations on how to improve and elevate their content.
- Maintaining the very highest production and editorial standards, consistency of brand and messaging across all channels.
- Supporting HL’s ‘owned influencers’ to manage and optimise their channels and content.
- Monitoring, analysing, and reporting on social media performance using analytics tools to inform future posts, optimising and adapting approach to get the best possible engagement and outcomes.
- Staying up to date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to drive innovation.
- Managing social media campaigns and paid media initiatives in collaboration with the Media team.
- Analysing data from multiple sources to inform optimisation of campaigns within social media.
- Supporting the growth of employee engagement across our social media content and helping to create a culture of collaboration on social media channels across all departments in Hargreaves Lansdown.
- Supporting the development of social media strategies aligned with marketing and business objectives.
About you
- Strong understanding of social media platforms (LinkedIn, X, Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok) and their respective audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a flair for crafting engaging content.
- Proficiency in social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Google Analytics).
- Ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Proven experience in a social media role, preferably within financial services or a regulated industry.
- Demonstrated success in growing and engaging social media audiences.
- Knowledge of compliance and governance considerations in social media marketing.
Interview process
The interview process for this role will be a two stage interview consisting of competency based questions and a presentation.
Working Schedule
The Social Media Executive role is a Permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Our office is based in Bristol, BS1 5HL. Hybrid working is available where only 3 days a week is required in the office.
