Social Media Manager

The Social Media Manager will work to increase brand awareness through Acxiom’s organic social media presence. They will create a social media strategy, develop and execute organic social posts, monitor engagement, and analyze performance metrics, making needed adjustments to increase visibility and audience engagement.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement social media strategies to align with business goals and increase LinkedIn engagement (followers) by 10% YoY.

  • Develop a social media monthly performance dashboard and report out on KPIs and social media engagement metrics vs competitive set

  • Consistently provide recommendations on how to increase social media performance

  • Create, schedule, and publish engaging content across social media platforms

  • Collaborate with other marketing experts, including in-house creative team, to develop social media assets aligned with other campaign elements

  • Maintain and socialize a social media calendar

  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions

  • Ensure all assets are on brand, applying detailed brand standards and brand voice accurately

  • Stay up to date with social media trends, algorithm changes, and best practices

  • Manage social media tools and platforms used for scheduling, listening, and analytics

Core Competencies:

  • Comprehensive understanding of top social media platforms

  • Familiarity with different types of social media content

  • Proficient with social media management tools, such as Sprout Social

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including proofreading

  • Collaborative spirit and confidence working with stakeholders at all levels of the organization

Qualifications

Required:

  • Proficient in social media platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook

  • Experience with social media management tools like Sprout Social

  • Excellent critical thinking, interpersonal communication, time-management and problem-solving skills

  • Collaborative in nature and adept at problem solving

  • Comfortable communicating complex information clearly

  • Proficient English speaking and writing

  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or equivalent work experience.

Preferred:

  • Experience as a social media specialist or similar position

  • Design experience a plus

  • Knowledge of other communications and PR services

  • A degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or Marketing
