Social Worker - Community Team

Our client is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join its team based at Luxstowe House in Liskeard. This role involves supporting individuals across East Cornwall, delivering high-quality assessments and interventions while ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

What will your responsibilities be?

In this role, you will:

  • Complete Mental Capacity Assessments
  • Undertake Section 42 safeguarding enquiries
  • Carry out strengths and needs assessments
  • Develop and review care and support plans
  • Participate in court work where required
  • Manage and prioritise a varied caseload to meet deadlines
  • Conduct face-to-face visits within the East Cornwall area

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Qualified Social Worker with relevant registration
  • Proven experience in adult social care
  • Strong assessment and safeguarding experience
  • Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines efficiently
  • Access to a car and ability to travel within the region
  • Availability for a minimum of 2 days per week for face-to-face visits (remaining work can be completed remotely)

Working Arrangements:

  • Minimum 2 days per week on-site for visits
  • Remaining work can be completed remotely
