Social Worker (Maitri School)

Your Role as a Social Worker:

The Social Worker enables students to function more effectively in school by providing a range of services such as casework and counselling, groupwork, family sessions and family education

The Social Worker works as part of a collaborative team to

• Address the social, financial, emotional and behavioural concerns of students and their family members, taking into consideration their mental and physical well-being. This could take the form of individual or group sessions.
• Work with parents and caregivers, equipping and empowering them through information and education to build a better relationship with their child and the school.
• Collaborate with teachers, other allied health professionals and external agencies to create a better environment in support of the student’s learning.

Requirements:

• Degree in Social Work from recognized educational institution.
• Preferably with at least 1 to 2 years working experience in social services.
• Has passion to work for the well-being of children with special needs.
• Good team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
