Software and Machine Learning Engineering Internship

The Role
As an intern in Retail Banking Analytics team, you will be working with engineers building a model factory that enables data scientists build machine learning models on public cloud (GCP) to predict customer behaviours. The aim of this internship is to gain hands-on engineering experience in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary team, develop tooling and architecture that will be used by data scientists, and learning to balance engineering excellence with tight deadlines and the needs of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Convert business requirements to high quality python code
  • Collaborate with the team on designing elegant and maintainable architectures with senior engineers
  • Deploy machine learning models on GCP
  • Engineer new features using ibis
  • Develop new machine learning pipelines

To take on this challenging and rewarding opportunity, you’ll need:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Python programming.
  • Knowledge of different software design patterns and when to use them
  • Interest in Software and Machine Learning engineering.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Being a fast learner
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
