Celigo is looking for a Software Architect to help own and evolve the CloudExtend product portfolio. This is a hands-on individual contributor role responsible for the reliability, security, scalability, and operation of our SaaS platforms, while providing architectural direction and technical guidance across engineering teams.

You will be responsible for maintaining and improving existing production systems, supporting critical customer escalations, leading security and compliance initiatives, driving platform modernisation efforts, and evaluating emerging technologies that improve engineering effectiveness and product capabilities. While the role includes architecture and design responsibilities, success in this position requires strong operational ownership and the ability to effectively run large-scale SaaS platforms in production.

The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering fundamentals with deep AWS expertise, experience operating enterprise SaaS products at scale, and a passion for adopting modern engineering practices including AI-assisted development and platform automation.

What will you do if Hired?

• Own the technical health, reliability, security, and operational readiness of CloudExtend platforms.
• Architect and design scalable, secure, and performant cloud-native applications and platform services.
• Drive the design and delivery of features by collaborating with engineering, product, support, and cross-functional teams.
• Take critical architectural decisions that balance scalability, maintainability, security, reliability, and cost.
• Contribute hands-on to the codebase and establish engineering best practices across teams.
• Design and develop frameworks, proofs of concept, and reusable platform capabilities.
• Lead architecture, design, and technical review discussions across teams.
• Define and enforce architectural standards, patterns, and engineering best practices.
• Identify scalability, reliability, security, and operational risks and drive mitigation strategies.
• Establish and manage a technical debt strategy and drive platform modernisation initiatives.
• Ensure production systems are operating efficiently, securely, and cost effectively while continuously identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Own architecture and governance across AWS infrastructure, networking, security, and platform services.
• Design and support SaaS platform capabilities including tenant management, licensing, subscriptions, entitlement models, and platform migrations.
• Lead technical aspects of security and compliance initiatives including SOC2 audits, penetration testing, vulnerability remediation, customer security reviews, and security questionnaires.
• Respond to security incidents, production issues, and critical customer escalations while driving root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Partner closely with Support, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to resolve complex customer issues and platform escalations.
• Design and support integrations with business, operational, customer support, identity, and other enterprise systems.
• Define disaster recovery, business continuity, and platform resiliency strategies.
• Drive platform upgrades, migrations, security remediation, and operational improvement initiatives.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, AI-assisted development practices, and industry trends to improve engineering effectiveness and product capabilities.

Who are we looking for?

Skills and Abilities

• Strong hands-on experience with C#/.NET and Angular
• Strong expertise in AWS cloud-native architectures and services including Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, SQS, SES, DynamoDB, Cognito, ECS/EKS, IAM, Route53, VPC, KMS, Secrets Manager, WAF, GuardDuty, and Security Hub
• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation, CDK, or Terraform
• Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals, distributed systems, and microservices architecture
• Experience with MongoDB and modern data architecture patterns
• Experience designing and implementing secure APIs and integration solutions
• Experience architecting and operating large-scale SaaS products
• Proven experience owning and operating production SaaS platforms, including reliability, security, compliance, incident response, customer escalations, and operational governance
• Experience leading security, compliance, audit, and risk management activities including SOC2, vulnerability management, and security remediation programs
• Experience supporting production systems and customer-facing escalations
• Experience defining disaster recovery and business continuity strategies
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Experience building multi-tenant SaaS platforms with licensing, subscription management, and entitlement capabilities is a plus
• Experience supporting enterprise customer security assessments and technical due diligence activities is a plus
• Experience with Azure identity and application registration services is a plus
• Experience working with AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering workflows is a plus

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent discipline
• 12+ years of software product development experience with at least 5 years in an architecture role
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent AWS certification is mandatory
• Experience working in startup or high-growth SaaS environments is a plus
