This role will contribute to the governance, compliance and optimisation of ICT’s software asset portfolio, supporting technology services across one of Australia’s leading universities.

The opportunity
As Software Asset Management Analyst, you will support the effective management of ICT’s software assets across the full lifecycle. You will maintain accurate software entitlement and utilisation data, support compliance and audit readiness, provide analysis for renewals and procurement planning, and help improve the accuracy, efficiency and cost-effectiveness of software asset management processes.
What you’ll do
Maintain accurate software asset records, including entitlements, usage, renewals and lifecycle information.
Support software licence compliance, audit readiness, reconciliations, reporting and risk exposure analysis.
Provide analysis and advice to support contract renewals, procurement planning and compliance assurance.
Work with ICT, Procurement, Finance, Commercial, technical teams and vendors on software ordering, renewals and contract terms.
Identify opportunities to improve SAM processes, data quality, cost tracking, renewal forecasting and operational efficiency.
What we’re looking for
Demonstrated experience in software asset management, ICT procurement or IT operations within a complex organisation.
Advanced knowledge of software asset management principles, licensing models and compliance frameworks.
Strong capability using asset management or IT service management tools, including ServiceNow, with Flexera Snow Atlas experience required for this role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
