Our Client a leading bank in Asia with a global network of more than 500 branches and offices in 19 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America, are looking for Consultants to be part of the project. The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance, and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising, and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches. The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia. You will be working in a newly set-up technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.

Responsibilities

  • 1. Application Development & Enhancement
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain Core Banking applications related to: - Deposits - Local & Bill Payments - Cash Management - Rate Provision - GIRO & Instant Payments
  • Perform impact analysis and implement change requests and defect fixes.
  • Develop functionalities using RPG on AS400 platforms. 2. Payment & Deposit Systems Support
  • Support payment processing systems including: - GIRO - Instant Payments - Bill Payments
  • Support deposit-related banking functionalities and transaction processing.
  • Ensure system stability and operational continuity. 3. Code Review & Quality Assurance
  • Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards.
  • Support unit testing and defect remediation activities.
  • Ensure quality and compliance of application deliverables. 4. DevOps & Deployment Support
  • Support deployment and migration activities in AS400 environments.
  • Work with: - Rocket Aldon - ARCAD
  • Participate in DevOps and release management activities. 5. Database & Platform Support
  • Work with: - AS400/DB2
  • Troubleshoot application and database-related issues.
  • Support batch processing and production activities. 6. Testing & Production Support
  • Perform unit testing and support SIT/UAT activities.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide bug fixes.
  • Support post-release validation and stabilization activities.

SKILLS

Must have

  • 3-5 years of experience in AS400 application development
  • Strong hands-on experience in: - RPG - AS400/DB2
  • Experience working with: - AS400 - DB2
  • Strong experience in: - Deposits systems - Local and Bill Payment systems - Cash Management / Rate Provision - GIRO & Instant Payment systems
  • Experience in code review and development quality practices
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Strong problem-solving capability
  • Good communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to work independently in project/support environments
  • Delivery-focused mindset

Nice to have

• Experience in: - Remittance systems -DevOps practices - Rocket Aldon - ARCAD
