Software Development Engineer - I
- As a software engineer, you will be responsible for building\n machine learning\-based solutions to problems of societal\n importance. You will participate in problem definitions and the\n design and development of solutions to these problems.
<\/span><\/li>- In order to apply machine learning and related technologies\n for social good, you will need to understand user challenges and\n their context and design and build web and mobile solutions\n leveraging state\-of\-the\-art front\-end and back\-end technology that\n will be deployed in the field settings. You will also create\n well\-documented libraries, APIs, and SDKs that partners and\n developers can leverage to solve these user problems.
<\/span><\/li>- In addition, the candidate will be responsible for engineering\n secure infrastructure and automation pipelines to host, curate,\n and transform data, train models, and deploy solutions. You will\n be expected to design and put in place security and software\n engineering best practices, automation and testing pipelines, and\n develop and review architecture and well\-documented code to ensure\n maintainable, debuggable, future\-proof solutions.

<\/li>- The candidate should have broad exposure optimizing and\n debugging software solutions for correctness and performance\n issues, creating APIs for partners and developers and managing and\n automating on\-premise and cloud infrastructure.<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>- Candidate should have strong foundations in data structures,\n algorithms and computer systems and good understanding of the\n software development and deployment lifecycle including code\n versioning, build and test automation frameworks. <\/span><\/span>
<\/li>- Candidates should be comfortable working with cross\-functional\n teams, must have excellent communication skills and a track record\n of driving projects to completion.<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>- Candidates should have a Bachelors/Masters in Computer\n Science, Physics, and Engineering Discipline or equivalent\n industry experience.<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>- Experience with open\-source projects and high\-performance\n systems is a plus.<\/span>
