  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues within distributed, high-scale systems

  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude) to accelerate development and delivery

  • Participate in an on-call rotation (~once per quarter) supporting production systems

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience.

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience

  • Strong experience building backend services and APIs in distributed systems

  • Experience with system design for scalable, high-availability platforms

  • Proficiency in Kotlin or Java

  • Experience working in cloud-based environments

  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows or AI/ML-enabled systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in FinTech, InsurTech, or pricing/financial systems at scale

  • Proven experience building or contributing to 0→1 products or major feature launches

  • Experience working on cross-domain systems with many upstream/downstream dependencies

  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, execution-focused environments with tight timelines

  • Strong understanding of pricing strategies, risk systems, or transactional platforms

  • Demonstrated ability to improve system scalability, reliability, and operational performance
