Software Engineer, EAA Integrations

You will architect and develop advanced Workato recipes, frameworks, and connectors to deliver scalable automation solutions. You will translate business requirements into reliable Workato workflows, integrate AI/LLM services for intelligent automation, build and support ETL/ELT data pipelines, troubleshoot integration issues, and participate in reviews and deployment planning to ensure production reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Design, automate, and maintain integrations across enterprise applications and platforms using Workato, custom connectors, and reusable automation frameworks
  • Architect scalable automation solutions and apply Workato best practices, patterns, and governance standards
  • Integrate Workato workflows with AI/LLM services to automate decision-making, content generation, or data enrichment
  • Design reusable frameworks and components for incorporating LLMs into business processes with secure and ethical usage
  • Evaluate AI/LLM capabilities and propose opportunities to embed them into automation strategies
  • Collaborate with business units and engineering teams to gather, refine, and translate requirements into Workato workflows
  • Build, optimize, and support ETL/ELT processes through Workato pipelines and related data integration tools
  • Identify and implement improvements to address architectural gaps, enhance performance, and reduce technical debt
  • Participate in recipe reviews and architectural assessments to maintain quality and adherence to platform standards
  • Manage Workato deployments, versioning, and configuration changes and participate in release planning and execution
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance, platform guidance, and mentorship to team members and stakeholders
  • Stay current with automation, integration, AI/LLM advancements and Workato platform enhancements

Requirements

  • Minimum 2–4 years of hands-on experience in integration development, including designing, building, and supporting integrations across enterprise systems
  • At least 1–2 years of strong, practical experience with Workato, including recipe development, custom connectors, job frameworks, error handling patterns, and platform governance
  • Experience architecting automation solutions using Workato or similar iPaaS tools with an ability to define scalable patterns and reusable components
  • Solid understanding of APIs, webhooks, REST principles, and payload formats such as JSON and XML
  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT concepts and experience supporting or building data pipelines
  • Exposure to AI/LLM technologies and the ability to integrate AI services into automation workflows
  • Understanding of responsible AI usage, including security, compliance, and data-handling considerations when working with LLMs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues end-to-end
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
