Shape the future of our managed Kubernetes products

Your expertise in Kubernetes enables you to enhance the scale and performance of Linode's Kubernetes Engine (LKE) for global enterprises. Responsibilities include improving the scale, performance, security, and features of the managed platform, ensuring a seamless experience developers expect.

As a Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for:

  • Creating new features from scratch, enhancing and optimizing existing functionalities
  • Working on a software development lifecycle from concept and design through development, testing, deployment and sustainment
  • Learning and adopting cloud-native technologies and architectures
  • Enabling a simple and seamless way for our customers to deploy and operate their Kubernetes clusters
  • Collaborating with engineering teams in an Agile environment to sustain a product portfolio
  • Working in an environment that fosters innovative solutions, rapid development cycles, and healthy, constructive discussion

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have 2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Have experience building with cloud native technologies and Kubernetes deployments with scale
  • Have experience with Container Runtimes (e.g. docker, containered, etc)
  • Demonstrate solid experience with Go, Python, Bash or Typescript and be familiar with Linux-based operating systems
  • Be familiar with software development practices and product life cycles through build, test, deploy, and iterative environments
  • Be comfortable working with a remote, international team spread across Czechia, Poland, and USA
