Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and support enterprise resiliency and recovery automation solutions. Build self-service applications, APIs, integrations, and workflow automation that reduce manual coordination, improve data quality, and enable consistent adoption of disaster recovery, business continuity, and recovery exercise activities in both cloud and on premises/hybrid environments.

Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and engineering standards and implement integrations with enterprise platforms and operational tooling (e.g., AWS, Google, Azure, and on premises). Create dashboards and analytics for recovery readiness, exercise performance, compliance status, and resiliency metrics, while ensuring systems are secure, reliable, and observable through strong collaboration with product owners and technical stakeholders.


Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and support enterprise resiliency and recovery automation solutions.
  • Build self-service applications, APIs, integrations, and workflow automation to simplify disaster recovery, business continuity, and recovery exercise activities.
  • Reduce manual coordination, improve data quality, and drive consistent adoption of resiliency processes across the organization.
  • Implement integrations with enterprise platforms (AWS, Google, Azure, and on-premises), monitoring tools, cloud services, and workflow systems.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, engineering standards, and operational support practices.
  • Create dashboards, reporting capabilities, and analytics to provide visibility into recovery readiness, exercise performance, compliance status, and operational resiliency metrics.
  • Partner with product owners, engineers, and stakeholders to translate business/operational requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.
  • Deliver event-driven and API-first solutions that enable automation, integrations, and intelligent workflow capabilities.
  • Ensure solutions are secure, reliable, observable, and aligned with enterprise architecture and resiliency objectives.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, operational support, and continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications

  • Experience designing, building, and supporting software applications, platforms, or internal developer tools.
  • Strong software engineering skills and a passion for solving complex problems through automation.
  • Experience building APIs, integrations, workflow automation, or self-service solutions.
  • Ability to translate operational or business processes into scalable, user-friendly software products.
  • Experience working in cloud, on-premises, or hybrid technology environments.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with technical and business partners.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and contribute to shared engineering goals.

Additional Beneficial Experience

  • Java, Go, Angular, React, TypeScript, or other modern development technologies.
  • CI/CD, platform engineering, DevOps practices; Kubernetes/OpenShift/ROSA, etc.
  • Event-driven architectures, enterprise integrations, or workflow orchestration.
  • Dashboarding, observability, reporting, or operational analytics solutions.
  • Disaster recovery, business continuity, resiliency engineering, or SRE.
  • ServiceNow integrations, cloud platforms, or enterprise operational tooling.
  • AI-assisted development, intelligent automation, or emerging technology experience.


Our Benefits

Because work-life balance is a priority at State Farm, compensation is based on our standard 38:45-hour work week!

  • Potential starting salary range: $90,000 - $120,000
    • Starting salary will be based on skills, background, and experience
    • High end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience
  • Potential yearly incentive pay up to 15% of base salary
