As a Senior Software Packaging Engineer at INflow Federal, you will play a critical role supporting enterprise Windows infrastructure within one of the Intelligence Community’s most complex classified environments. You will design, engineer, package, deploy, and sustain Windows desktop solutions that enable secure operations across geographically dispersed mission systems.

This position combines enterprise Windows engineering, software packaging, operating system deployment, application virtualization, endpoint management, and automation into a highly technical role supporting both physical and virtual desktop environments. Working alongside systems engineers, virtualization engineers, cybersecurity professionals, and enterprise architects, you will help deliver secure, standardized desktop solutions that support mission-critical operations worldwide.

What You’ll Work On

You’ll help engineer and maintain secure Windows desktop environments by designing enterprise desktop images, packaging software, managing operating system deployments, integrating applications into complex enterprise infrastructures, and supporting desktop modernization initiatives.

Your work will span Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), Microsoft Intune, application virtualization, Windows operating systems, enterprise endpoint management, automation scripting, and secure desktop lifecycle management supporting highly classified customer environments.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design, build, deploy, and maintain enterprise Windows desktop environments supporting classified mission operations.
  • Engineer software installation packages for enterprise deployment across physical and virtual desktop environments.
  • Develop and maintain standardized Windows desktop images utilizing Microsoft deployment technologies.
  • Design and support enterprise Operating System Deployment (OSD) solutions using Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).
  • Package, test, validate, and deploy desktop applications while ensuring compatibility across enterprise environments.
  • Administer enterprise endpoint management platforms including MECM, Intune, and related Microsoft technologies.
  • Support application virtualization technologies including Citrix XenApp, Citrix App Layering, Microsoft App-V, and MSIX App Attach.
  • Design and implement Windows desktop configurations supporting both thick-client and virtual desktop infrastructures.
  • Integrate Windows desktop solutions with enterprise services including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and authentication services.
  • Evaluate new desktop hardware and software technologies and recommend enterprise implementation strategies.
  • Support desktop lifecycle management including system upgrades, software updates, operating system migrations, and endpoint modernization efforts.
  • Create technical design documentation, deployment procedures, installation guides, and operational support documentation.
  • Develop PowerShell and other automation scripts to streamline deployment, administration, and operational processes.
  • Troubleshoot complex desktop engineering issues affecting enterprise users across geographically dispersed locations.
  • Support Windows laptop deployments and enterprise mobility initiatives.
  • Integrate antivirus, endpoint protection, and malware remediation technologies into Windows desktop solutions.
  • Deploy rapid software updates and security fixes supporting enterprise desktop and server environments.
  • Maintain DISA STIG compliance and implement secure desktop configurations across enterprise systems.
  • Support engineering initiatives involving hybrid cloud, private cloud, and Microsoft Azure-based desktop services.
  • Collaborate with systems engineers, virtualization teams, cybersecurity engineers, and project managers throughout the system lifecycle.
  • Participate in technical design reviews, testing activities, implementation planning, and operational sustainment.
  • Support multiple concurrent engineering initiatives within fast-paced mission environments.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise Windows engineering, software packaging, desktop engineering, or endpoint management.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
  • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification prior to start.
  • Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM).
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) and Operating System Deployment (OSD).
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Intune endpoint management.
  • Experience engineering Windows desktop images and enterprise operating system deployments.
  • Experience packaging and deploying Windows applications across enterprise environments.
  • Experience supporting application virtualization technologies.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows desktop architecture and enterprise endpoint management.
  • Experience troubleshooting enterprise Windows desktop environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document technical solutions and collaborate across engineering teams.
