Solution Application Engineer (CV, Image Processing)

Job Title

Solution Application Engineer (CV, Image Processing)

Job Description

Job title:
As an important member of the Solution team, the Solution Application Engineer will develop and refine clinical application solutions for medical imaging, with strong emphasis on CT and spectral CT. The role connects clinical needs, product definition, and technical implementation by translating real-world imaging workflows into deployable application capabilities that are clinically relevant, technically robust, and aligned with product and quality expectations.

Your role:

  • Develop medical imaging clinical application solutions with a primary focus on CT and spectral CT use cases across routine and advanced clinical workflows.

  • Translate unmet clinical needs, radiologist workflow pain points, and site feedback into clear functional requirements, application concepts, and feature definitions.

  • Work closely with radiologists, clinical scientists, product managers, algorithm teams, software engineers, and system engineers to define clinical application workflows and user-facing capabilities.

  • Apply deep understanding of CT clinical applications, including emergency, oncology, cardiovascular, thoracic, abdominal, and follow-up imaging workflows, to guide solution design and prioritization.

  • Contribute domain expertise in spectral CT applications such as virtual monoenergetic imaging, iodine maps, virtual non-contrast, effective-Z analysis, material decomposition, lesion characterization, and vascular assessment.

  • Define clinically meaningful outputs, visualization workflows, measurement logic, interpretation support, and reporting-oriented application behavior for CT and spectral CT solutions.

  • Support validation of new application concepts through internal reviews, clinical feedback, dataset-based evaluation, and structured pilot activities with key users.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure that clinical workflows can be implemented in a scalable, usable, and technically feasible manner across products and releases.

  • Partner with downstream teams on release readiness, application documentation, internal training materials, and field enablement for new CT and spectral CT application capabilities.

  • Continuously monitor clinical trends, competing imaging solutions, and evolving care pathways to identify high-value CT and spectral CT application opportunities.

You're the right fit if:

  • You have acquired 5+ years of experience in medical imaging applications, clinical solution development, or a related imaging-focused role.

  • Your skills include strong and practical understanding of CT clinical workflows, image interpretation needs, protocol considerations, and disease-oriented application scenarios.

  • You have deep knowledge of spectral CT principles and clinical applications, including material decomposition, virtual monoenergetic imaging, iodine-based analysis, virtual non-contrast, and related advanced post-processing workflows.

  • You are able to translate clinical needs into product requirements, workflow definitions, and development-ready functional specifications.

  • You can work effectively with radiologists, clinical experts, algorithm developers, product managers, and software teams in a cross-functional environment.

  • You understand how medical imaging applications are introduced, evaluated, and adopted in clinical environments, including usability, evidence expectations, and workflow fit.

  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills and can clearly explain clinical value propositions and technical trade-offs to different stakeholder groups.

  • You are comfortable analyzing clinical workflows in detail and turning domain insight into structured application proposals and development guidance.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Imaging, Radiology Technology, Medical Physics, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Experience in CT clinical applications, spectral CT product/application work, post-processing solutions, or radiology workflow design is strongly preferred.

  • Experience in a regulated medical-device environment or close collaboration with clinical research and product validation teams is a plus.
