Solution Architect
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Solution Architect based in the United States.
This role is responsible for leading the design and implementation of complex enterprise software solutions for clients in regulated and asset-intensive industries. You will act as a key technical and functional advisor throughout the full project lifecycle, with a strong focus on solution design, configuration, and successful deployment. The position involves facilitating design sessions, translating business requirements into scalable system architectures, and ensuring alignment with implementation best practices. You will collaborate closely with clients, project managers, and technical teams to deliver high-quality ERP and enterprise application solutions. In addition, you will play a critical role in quality assurance, testing strategy, and go-live support to ensure smooth system adoption. This is a client-facing, high-impact role suited for professionals who combine deep functional expertise with strong consulting and leadership skills.
Accountabilities:
- Lead end-to-end solution design activities, facilitating client workshops and design sessions to define functional and technical requirements.
- Translate business needs into scalable system configurations and technical specifications for ERP and enterprise applications.
- Guide implementation teams through project lifecycle phases, ensuring adherence to methodology, scope, timelines, and budget.
- Develop documentation for system design, including reports, interfaces, conversions, extensions, and configuration requirements.
- Oversee quality assurance processes, including test planning, unit testing, system testing, integration testing, and UAT support.
- Support go-live activities, cutover planning, and post-deployment stabilization to ensure successful adoption.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams, providing domain expertise and consultative guidance.
- Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure proper solution handoff and execution.
- Assist in identifying risks, issues, and mitigation strategies throughout project delivery.
- Contribute to business development activities by supporting proposals and providing subject matter expertise.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 5–9 years of experience implementing enterprise software solutions in client-facing consulting roles.
- Strong experience in ERP, EAM, or similar enterprise system implementations.
- Solid understanding of full implementation lifecycle methodologies and project delivery frameworks.
- Experience leading or contributing significantly to multiple phases of enterprise software projects.
- Strong consulting skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, including presentation, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills with ability to manage multiple workstreams.
- Familiarity with financial and accounting processes within ERP environments is highly desirable.
- Technical awareness of system architecture, databases, SQL, and enterprise integration concepts is a plus.
