Solution Architect

Now, about this opportunity…

As our Solutions Architect, you are a strategic technical leader responsible for translating business strategy into defensible technical roadmaps. You ensure architectural coherence across the entire portfolio and act as the authoritative voice in design governance forums.

You engage deeply with business stakeholders to ground architectural choices in commercial reality. This leadership role requires balancing long-term ecosystem health with immediate business value.

If that excites you, this just might be your dream job:

  • Drive the evolution of architectural blueprints to ensure they align directly with strategic business outcomes and maximise value.
  • Author and govern enterprise-wide standards and integration frameworks to reduce friction and unlock new commercial opportunities.
  • Own and drive the technology roadmap; you identify investments in foundational capabilities that accelerate delivery and reduce technical debt.
  • Act as a key advisor on technology choices, providing expert guidance on architectural trade-offs and long-term implications.
  • Lead design governance reviews, ensuring technical decisions across all programs are well-articulated, risk-assessed, and strategically aligned.
  • Accountable for portfolio-level cloud consumption, budgeting, and forecasting; you ensure architectural governance actively shapes financial outcomes.
  • Champion modularity, resilience, and operational excellence across the portfolio to foster a unified delivery methodology.
  • Define and validate stringent non-functional requirements for availability, throughput, and scalability across multi-domain solutions.
  • Maintain clear traceability between design decisions, business requirements, and regulatory compliance obligations.
  • Lift the capability of the entire design discipline by mentoring Solution Designers and Technical Leads at depth.

You’ll likely bring:

  • Extensive experience in strategic architecture roles focused on portfolio-level coherence and business value.
  • Proven ability to shape technology investment decisions with business leadership through clear articulation of risks and ROI.
  • Strong command of enterprise integration patterns and the ability to set standards that hold up under regulatory scrutiny.
  • Proficiency in architectural modelling and simulation techniques to predict system behaviour at scale.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial management of cloud workloads and portfolio-level FinOps.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing capabilities; you navigate conflicting priorities to build consensus across business and technical domains.
  • Expert knowledge of banking domain architecture and the associated compliance and security frameworks.

If you don’t meet every requirement, we still encourage you to apply – your experience, mindset and potential matter to us.
