Solution Architect

The Solution Architect is responsible for defining and governing the solution architecture for the Deposits Modernization Program covering CASA and Time Deposit products. The role translates business and non-functional requirements into a scalable, secure, and supportable target solution across applications, integrations, environments, and security controls. The Solution Architect collaborates with Build, Integration, Data Migration, Testing, Operations, and vendor teams to ensure solution alignment with architecture standards and delivery objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Translate business requirements into solution architecture covering application components, integration patterns, data flows, and operational considerations.
  • Define and maintain architecture artifacts, including target architecture, high-level design (HLD), solution architecture documents (SAD), interface designs, data flow diagrams, deployment views, and architecture decision records.
  • Define and govern non-functional requirements, including performance, availability, resiliency, security, disaster recovery, observability, and maintainability.
  • Lead solution design workshops with internal and vendor stakeholders and review solution design deliverables for alignment with architecture standards.
  • Perform solution-level fit-gap analysis and recommend design options with clear trade-offs for cost, timeline, risk, and operational support.
  • Coordinate architecture dependencies across channels, surrounding systems, and enabling platforms such as IAM, middleware, API gateways, logging, monitoring, and batch scheduling.
  • Provide architecture guidance to Build and Integration teams to ensure requirements are traceable through design and testing.
  • Support environment planning, deployment architecture, configuration requirements, and release readiness activities.
  • Participate in test strategy, performance testing, disaster recovery testing, and defect triage for architecture-related issues.
  • 5–8 years of experience in solution architecture or systems design for banking or financial services programs.
  • Proven experience with core banking or deposits platforms, including CASA and Time Deposit products.
  • Hands-on experience with at least two core banking platforms such as TCS, Finacle, or Fiserv.
  • Experience working across multi-stakeholder teams.
  • Knowledge of solution architecture methodologies and architecture artifacts.
  • Understanding of integration approaches, security fundamentals, and environment/deployment concepts.
  • Knowledge of non-functional architecture, including performance, resiliency, disaster recovery, logging, monitoring, and supportability.
  • Understanding of banking domain concepts, including deposits lifecycle, product parameters, interest, fees, and accounting impacts.
  • Strong ability to translate business requirements into implementable solution architectures and produce clear design documentation.
  • Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills across business, IT, and vendor teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate trade-offs and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Must-have: Finacle, Solution Architecture / Systems Design for Banking or Financial Services Programs.
  • Good-to-have: TCS BaNCS, Fiserv.
