ABOUT THE ROLE

The Solutions Architect will lead the architecture and technical direction for a portfolio of enterprise web properties in the travel services sector, supporting a Fortune 500 program.

This role requires a highly collaborative individual who can operate across business and technical domains to bring clarity and structure to complex initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and maintain architecture diagrams and data flows, ensuring architectural decisions are documented in the appropriate systems and repositories.

  • Translate business and product requirements into well-defined technical solutions by identifying gaps, edge cases, risks, dependencies, and downstream impacts; partner with stakeholders to refine requirements, coach best practices, and ensure work is development-ready.

  • Provide hands-on technical leadership across application/API, database, and cloud domains, owning design decisions, guiding distributed engineering teams, and ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing systems.

  • Integrate data sources, establish API standards, and translate logical data models into high-performing physical designs, ensuring robust data ingestion, validation, and monitoring processes.

  • Lead design and code reviews, coach engineers, and drive process and technology improvements aligned with enterprise standards.

  • Promote and reinforce adherence to SDLC best practices, ensuring work is development-ready and supporting a consistent delivery cadence across teams.

  • Partner across teams to evolve the broader data architecture landscape and ensure platforms meet business, application, and infrastructure requirements.

  • Serve as a technical partner to internal and client stakeholders, providing clarity on solution approaches, delivery considerations, and trade-offs to support informed decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8–10 years of solution architecture experience in enterprise environments, with a demonstrated track record of delivering scalable, production-grade systems.

  • Proven track record leading distributed engineering teams (onshore/offshore), including successful engagements for Fortune 500 or large-scale organizations.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive alignment without direct authority.

  • Proven ability to operate effectively in environments with evolving or ambiguous requirements, bringing clarity, structure, and direction.

  • Strong experience with microservices architecture, modern web frameworks, and large-scale web ecosystems.

  • Microsoft Azure certifications preferred (e.g., Solutions Architect Expert, DevOps Engineer Expert).

  • Familiarity with data visualization and business intelligence (BI) tools.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.

Technical Skills

  • .NET Ecosystem (Expert-Level): .NET Core and Framework, MVC, Blazor, Web APIs (REST, WCF), Entity Framework, Authentication & Authorization

  • SQL Server (Advanced): Administration, query optimization, stored procedures, SQL Server Profiler

  • Microsoft Azure: Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS), Azure Functions, App Services, SQL Database, Azure DevOps, Monitor & Application Insights, Virtual Networks, Azure WAF, Cost Management

  • Hands-on ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues across application, API, and cloud environments

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is hybrid, with remote work and occasional on-site collaboration in Phoenix, AZ, approximately 3 days per week to support collaboration with client stakeholders.
