Solutions Consultant (Maritime Connectivity/Technology)

We are partnering with a global technology solutions provider in the maritime industry to hire a Solutions Consultant. This is a subject-matter-expert role who sits within the commercial function and focuses on delivering tailored technical solutions to shipowners, operators, and partners across the region.

This client-facing, solution-driven role is ideal for a technology engineer who enjoys working at the intersection of technology, commercial strategy, and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Engagement & Solutioning

  • Engage with customers and partners to understand business and technical requirements
  • Design and propose tailored solutions aligned to client needs
  • Support the sales team in positioning solutions and articulating value propositions

Presales & Technical Advisory

  • Act as a technical consultant during the sales cycle, bridging commercial and technical discussions
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and solution documentation
  • Conduct competitor analysis and provide insights to strengthen solution positioning

Commercial & Regional Support

  • Work closely with the commercial team to support opportunities across Singapore, Hong Kong, and the wider region
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure solutions are aligned with business strategy
  • Provide input on market trends, customer feedback, and product improvements

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering, IT, Telecommunications, or related field
  • Experience in a presales, solutions engineering, or technical sales support role
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage clients confidently
  • Fluent in English, with an additional language preferred (Mandarin highly advantageous)
  • Experience in maritime, connectivity, IT, or digital solutions is a plus
  • Self-driven and able to work independently while supporting regional sales teams
