Source Inspector-Electrical
This is a remote position.
Job Summary
The Electrical Source Inspector performs independent source inspections at supplier and manufacturer facilities to verify compliance with Saudi Aramco requirements, approved drawings, ITPs, and purchase order specifications. Inspections are conducted in accordance with applicable IEC, IEEE, NEC (NFPA 70), ISO, and Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards (SAES/SAMSS) to ensure electrical materials and equipment meet contractual, technical, and quality requirements prior to release.
Candidates must be willing to complete the Saudi Aramco qualification and approval process.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform source inspections per approved ITPs, Quality Plans, and Aramco electrical inspection requirements.
Verify compliance of electrical equipment including cables, switchgear, motors, transformers, panels, junction boxes, lighting, and grounding systems.
Verify material traceability, certifications, and test documentation.
Witness and verify assembly, wiring, termination, IR/Hi-Pot testing, functional testing, FAT, and routine/type tests, as applicable.
Confirm calibration status of electrical testing and measuring equipment.
Identify and report non-conformances and verify corrective action closure.
Review and endorse inspection reports, test records, and release documentation.
Maintain independence, ethics, and objectivity in line with professional inspection practices.

Requirements
Minimum QualificationsDiploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
5–10 years of electrical inspection experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or energy projects.
Strong working knowledge of electrical inspection practices and applicable IEC, IEEE, NEC (NFPA 70) standards.
Experience inspecting LV/HV cables, switchgear, MCCs, transformers, motors, control panels, junction boxes, lighting, and grounding systems, as applicable.
Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
5–10 years of electrical inspection experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or energy projects.
Strong working knowledge of electrical inspection practices and applicable IEC, IEEE, NEC (NFPA 70) standards.
Experience inspecting LV/HV cables, switchgear, MCCs, transformers, motors, control panels, junction boxes, lighting, and grounding systems, as applicable.
Preferred CertificationsSaudi Aramco project experience – Highly desirable
IEC / IEEE / NEC–based electrical inspection training – Advantage
NDT Level II (if applicable to scope) – Advantage
CompEx / Hazardous Area certification – Advantage (where applicable)
