Our client, a global semiconductor company, is seeking a Sourcing Engineer to support supplier management, external manufacturing operations, and strategic sourcing initiatives.

As a Sourcing Engineer, you will play a key role in strengthening the supply chain through supplier diversification, spend analysis, and manufacturing optimization initiatives. You will be responsible for identifying and qualifying alternate suppliers and material options that can deliver improved quality, cost competitiveness, and supply continuity. The role will also involve driving process improvement projects, supporting sourcing strategies, and collaborating with suppliers to optimize cost, capacity, and material availability.

Responsibilities:

• Manage sourcing constraints to support accurate demand allocation and supply planning.
• Analyze supplier spend, cost drivers, and procurement trends to identify savings and optimization opportunities.
• Lead value-added engineering (VAE) initiatives, including supplier qualification, alternate manufacturing site evaluation, and BOM cost reduction projects.
• Drive sourcing activities to support business objectives, including supplier engagement and technical discussions.
• Monitor sourcing constraints, capacity limitations, and supply-demand gaps to support operational planning.
• Partner with suppliers and internal stakeholders to improve cost, quality, and supply performance.
• Lead business process improvement initiatives focused on standardization, simplification, and manufacturing cost reduction.
• Maintain sourcing procedures and documentation to ensure consistency and process compliance.
• Manage and accelerate the exit of underperforming products and suppliers.
• Support product transitions and supplier phase-out activities to minimize operational risks.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supplier management, manufacturing operations, or supply chain functions within the semiconductor industry.
• Understanding of supply chain planning, sourcing processes, and manufacturing operations.
• Experience supporting cost analysis, spend reporting, supplier performance monitoring, or sourcing activities is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and generate actionable insights.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of driving projects and problem resolution to completion.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
