Job Description & Requirements

We are seeking a skilled and driven Sous Chef to support ourHead Chef in leading the kitchen team and delivering high-quality dishes. Theideal candidate is organized, hands-on, and capable of maintaining consistencyin a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations
  • Supervise and guide junior kitchen staff, ensuring smooth workflow
  • Maintain consistency and quality in food preparation and presentation
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
  • Manage stock levels, ordering, and inventory control
  • Support in menu planning, costing, and development of new dishes
  • Step in to lead the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
  • Monitor portion control and minimize food wastage

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie ready to step up
  • Solid knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen operations
  • Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Good understanding of food safety regulations
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
