Special Events Senior Specialist - Full Time (Caesars Palace LV)
Supports the Regional Special Events Manager in the planning and execution of citywide Special Events & Promotions for all Caesars Las Vegas properties to ensure programs effectively stimulate customer patronage at Caesars Entertainment.
- Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of assigned special events and promotions to ensure the highest quality guest experience.
- Oversee the day‑to‑day office operations of the Citywide Special Events Department and support the Regional Special Events Manager and Director on all casino event projects.
- Manage and coach Regional Special Events Specialist(s), including scheduling, project assignments, performance development, and discipline as needed to ensure flawless event execution and excellent service.
- Assist in the development of event concepts, themes, formats, creative strategy, and internal communications, collaborating with Advertising, Direct Mail, and related teams on invitations and collateral.
- Coordinate all resources required for events and promotions, working cross‑functionally with departments such as Casino Marketing, Caesars Rewards, Entertainment, Hotel, Banquets, Security, Facilities, and Operations.
- Develop, review, and manage event budgets, including proformas, cost projections, expense tracking, final actuals, and timely submission of expenses; create and approve event EAs.
- Review and approve purchase requisitions, invoice payments, and required paperwork (including 1099 compliance) to ensure accurate and timely payment for goods and services.
- Create production meeting decks, maintain accurate records of revisions, manage scheduler event counts, and adhere to timelines, checklists, audit, and testing protocols.
- Proactively resolve guest, client, and operational issues, coordinating department assistance as necessary to ensure successful event execution.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive materials and company files; stay current on industry trends; comply with responsible gaming guidelines, policies, procedures, and attendance requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree desirable with Marketing, Communications, or Business concentration or equivalent experience.
- Two years of previous Special Events or Casino Marketing experience preferred.
- Ability to coordinate, organize, and execute multiple projects in a fast‑paced, multi‑tasking environment.
- Heavy clerical and guest service experience required; maintain professional appearance and strong team‑player mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, team‑building, and problem‑solving skills required.
- Computer literate with systems including IBM, Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Adobe, and PKMS.
- Maintain awareness of ongoing changes and enhancements in events and promotions.
- Flexible to work any day of the week and any shift, including nights and holidays.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain a Gaming Sheriff’s card.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to move throughout Casino/Hotel areas and special event locations during the entire shift, including standing and walking for long periods.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions, including extreme heat, humidity, secondhand smoke, dust, loud noise, and bright lights.
- Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, twist, balance, work at a desk, and lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to respond appropriately to visual and aural cues.
- Manual dexterity to operate required equipment, including computer, telephone, copier, fax, printer, ten‑key, and videopoker/slot machines.
