Specialist Heavy Lift
We are currently seeking a Specialist Heavy Lift, reporting directly to Project Site Manager to join our team based in West Papua, Indonesia.
About the role:
The Specialist Heavy Lift is a crucial figure for coordinating and managing the heavy lift activities, overseeing the project from inception to completion. They ensure that work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. The role involves a blend of hands-on management, strategic planning, and effective communication with multiple stakeholders. In addition to technical skills, they are required for problem-solving and exhibit strong leadership qualities to motivate and manage their teams effectively.
About you:
Specialist Heavy Lift coordinates and oversees all departments’ site construction activities at the West Papua facilities reporting to the Lead – Onshore Construction, Installation and Pre-comm (ISBL & OSBL). They are responsible for ensuring project completion in accordance with the set quality standards, budget, and timeline. Their duties and responsibilities include:
- Direct and coordinate all phases of Construction, Mechanical Completion including Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning activities.
- Monitoring, supervising and coordinating the activities of the heavy lift crews.
- Ensuring all heavy lifting operations comply with company policies and safety regulations
- Inspecting and managing the maintenance of lifting equipment and machinery
- Reviewing and ensuring that the CTR is implementing lifting plans and risk assessments
- Ensures that crew members are implementing safety procedures and that they are the correct operation of heavy lifting equipment is being conducted
- Conducting regular safety checks and meetings to ensure crew safety
- Monitoring lift operations to ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner
- Documenting all operations and incidents and reporting to management
- Resolving any issues or delays that may affect the lifting operation
- Planning and organizing all Construction and heavy lift activities from start to finish.
- Ensuring that all safety regulations and standards are adhered to on the construction site.
- Resolving any work-related issues or disputes on site.
- Preparing and submitting progress and tracking reports.
