Specialist, Inventory and Operations

This role will require extended hours based on production needs. Including work to be performed at shift start up (6:30 am) and after regular business hours for shift handoff (4:30 pm), and on weekends.

Primary Function:

Support the Snack Food operations through daily overseeing of inventory from one location to the other location. Support utilities and operations by owning and overseeing PBO and inventory transactions across RTE and CB areas.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform all work in a safe manner; remain constantly aware of continuous improvements(s) for safety-related opportunities.
  • Ensure all materials are present for production to run across both shifts and working with the Warehouse department for any shortages.
  • Validating counts on materials going to and coming from the warehouse area
  • Report any major discrepancies in the inventory to your superintendent so that any issues may be taken care of quickly.
  • Managing the cycle count program with utilities to ensure timely completion as well as details of any variances. Maintain the tracking sheet for reporting out and providing solutions for if any discrepancies arise.
  • Review respective PBO’s at the end of shift with Supervisors to ensure accuracy of all items produced and materials used, investigate overages and shortages for any opportunities to improve performance or BOM set-up.
  • Provide the Finance department with accurate details related to items in true-up, inedible, and/or X-File bins.
  • Be the main point of contact for Finance and Operations for any PBO related issues and corrections.
  • End of shift utility hand off to make sure materials are on line(s) or loaded on trailers, labels are printed and PBOs are ready.
  • Be the backup for when the superintendent is out and fill in for shortages in utility team. Assist with training any new utility team member(s).
  • Any other task or duties which may be assigned to you by your superintendent.
