Job Description:
The Specialist Sustainability will support the Manager Sustainability in obtaining and keeping the license to operate, in the implementation of global programs and has good knowledge of local environmental legislation and regulation (ICPE).
• You will be responsible for managing sites compliance and maintaining operating permits, working closely with sites directors/teams and external auditors
• You will be in charge of the management of the stakeholders relationships (local government/residents/communities, DREAL) and of organising events around sites environment.
• Finally, you will take part in reporting to HQ in Antwerp, with all mandatory European documents.
You must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, to speak and present to any audience, as well as being autonomous and a true force of proposition, bringing innovative ideas to improve the environmental impact of the sites.
As you will need to work closely with numerous sites, this role will require extensive travel, especially within the first 3 months. Later, probably 2 to 3 days a week.
What You Bring to the Table
• Minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent through experience.
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in sustainability/environmental management or a similar field.
• Experience working with governments, authorities (DREAL) is recommended.
• Native French and excellent English are vital
