Specification Executive (Decorative, Ha Noi)
SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
Support the department for enlisting Jotun products in specifications of maximum projects by developing contacts with architects and consultants in order to ensure Jotun’s specifications are approved and followed at all project levels for profitable sales growth.The position reports to the Specification Manager and is based in Hanoi.
Responsibilities
A Specification Executive who will be in charge of Project Sales and service of Decorative Paints with following responsibilities
- Assist the Specification Manager in getting approvals on Jotun products for most projects by providing necessary technical and commercial information to increase the chances of securing projects.
- Maintained an updated database on all essential construction projects and architects.
- Build up a strong business network within the selected professional group of consultants, architects, designers, and project specifiers by initiating contacts to support Jotun’s specifications approvals by project decision-makers
- Conduct technical and commercial training/orientation sessions at seminars to increase Jotun’s visibility and maximize sales through the architect channel.
- Identify and map projects in assigned countries, influence the decision makers to ensure Jotun specifications are approved, and secure projects for Jotun’s business benefit.
- Monitor construction and paint industry market status and use the collected data to support Jotun’s position in the market by promoting and implementing Jotun products and concepts to be the paint supplier leader in the market.
- Support the sales team in achieving sales targets by securing approvals for Jotun specifications and updating them on project activities and status to ensure the successful completion of the sales process of Jotun to assigned projects.
- Initiate, develop, and maintain long-term relationships with specifiers through regular visits, conducting presentations, and attending seminars.
- Arrange regular meetings with leading architects, consultants, and project owners to present Jotun as a Company and its products, including technical documentation on performance, features, etc.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience in specification, project, technical, or B2B sales. Experience in paints, coatings, or construction materials is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of the construction industry, project sales cycles, and the specification process. Direct experience working with architects, consultants, designers, and project owners is a distinct advantage.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with a proven ability to deliver effective technical and commercial pitches.
- Ability to build, nurture, and maintain strong professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in written and spoken English, and highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to travel frequently.
