Speech Language Pathologist ($2,500 Sign on bonus)

Glenwood, Inc. is a progressive multi-site agency that provides a full range of services for children and adults with autism and other mental health needs. We have an exciting opportunity to join our Educational Services team as an experienced and certified Speech Language Pathologist. This position will provide both school and clinic-based services. The Speech Therapist will work predominantly with children and adolescents with ASD and other language disorders. Excellent communication skills are required to work with other professionals in the field including occupational therapists, behavior analysts, registered behavior staff, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Assess and identify specific speech, language, and/or communication needs for development of the IEP and treatment plan, to establish a baseline of students’ present skills for judging future progress, and to help plan and conduct treatment sessions.
Work with a multidisciplinary treatment team to consult and share information with teaching staff, parents, and residential staff (as appropriate) regarding assessment and treatment.
Collaborate with IEP team and Treatment team regarding the development of overall language and communication program.
Work collaboratively with agency professionals to ensure that individuals served on assigned caseload are provided highest quality occupational therapy services available

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

2+ year(s) of experience in autism, developmental disabilities and/or mental health related behaviors
Knowledge of Autism, Emotional Disturbance, and other Developmental Disabilities
