Sports Academy Manager

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations & Programs

  • Oversee daily operations of the Sports Academy, ensuring facilities are clean, safe, and fully operational
  • Develop, implement, and enforce academy policies, procedures, and service standards
  • Plan and coordinate sports programs, classes, training sessions, tournaments, and events
  • Monitor equipment condition and ensure timely maintenance and replacement

Team Leadership & HR

  • Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate instructors, coaches, and support staff
  • Create staff schedules and manage attendance and payroll coordination
  • Foster a positive, performance-driven, and collaborative team culture
  • Keep the team updated on industry trends in sports, fitness, and wellness

Guest Experience & Service Quality

  • Ensure exceptional customer service standards and promptly resolve guest concerns or complaints
  • Actively engage with guests to promote participation in academy programs
  • Collect and analyze guest feedback to improve services and offerings

Financial & Administrative Management

  • Prepare, manage, and monitor the Sports Academy budget, revenue, and expenses
  • Support initiatives to increase participation, program enrollment, and revenue
  • Manage supplier and contractor relationships for equipment and facility services

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and risk management regulations
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities and activities
  • Ensure all emergency procedures, CPR/AED readiness, and incident reporting standards are met

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Valid certification in group fitness, personal training, or sports coaching from a recognized body (ACE, NASM, ACSM, AFAA, or equivalent)
  • Current CPR / AED certification
