Sr Adv Controllership Analyst

General Accounting
  • Need to have expertise in financial reporting and in-depth analysis of monthly financials (P&L, B/S, HFM report variance analysis, spend report review etc.)
  • Strong conceptual skills and process excellence on forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Partner with business counterparts in building financial plan and estimates and the associated variance analysis compared to actual.
  • Partner with the business in driving key business goals and initiatives
  • Develop and implement financial trend reports to identify performance issues within the business and risks or opportunities in financial plan/estimate.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders like SBG finance leaders, Controllership Operations, Country controllers
  • Ensure relevant GAAP, HON accounting policies and HGFC procedures are adhered to.
  • Reduce exceptions through root cause analysis and implementation of solutions.
  • Participate in process improvement reviews and projects.
  • Enable transformation opportunities through data
  • Enable visibility of non-compliances to drive compliance and aid in decision making
  • Review & Refine key performance indicators
  • Measure performance using reports against defined metrics and drive decision and results
  • Exposure to controls compliance for Sarbanes-Oxley, Process re-engineering & Automation.
  • Reduce exceptions through root cause analysis and partner to implementation of solutions.

Education and Certifications
  • CA, ICWA, CA/ICWA – Inter, MBA Finance, MCom, Bachelors’ in Finance/Accounting
Required Experiences
  • 6 - 8 + years of overall finance experience.
  • Finance or Accounts graduate. Must have worked in finance domain for at least 6+ years
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Accounting.
Knowledge and Skills

Critical

  • Hands on experience with SAP GL, AR & AP, MM and FA and Data analytics tools
  • Worked on consolidation platforms like Hyperion Reporting systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of concepts, processes & best practice.
  • Good knowledge of US and/or other GAAPs.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of R2R concepts, processes, best practices and value addition process initiatives and execution, & Banking domain expertise.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skill are desirous.

    Preferable

  • Exposure to managing full close processes for a multi-national group.
  • Proactive, ability to use own initiative and take lead to devise creative solutions.
  • Having an audit experience will be an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Flexibility to work shifts & exposure to global customers.
