Sr Automation Engineer

Catalyx is seeking a Sr Automation Engineer to support successful design &\nimplementation of automation for process or utility systems. Provide input,\nreview & approve design & requirement specifications. Secure proper\n& efficient implementation & qualification.<\/span> <\/span><\/span>Support production & other\nstakeholders.<\/span> <\/span><\/span>Improve reliability of the\nprocess control systems to meet current & projected customer, business\n& regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities<\/span><\/b>
<\/div>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Develop & manage plans to maintain &\nimprove process control systems.
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Schedule & execute plans in coordination\nwith manufacturing schedules.
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Operate as automation lead on projects that\ninvolve process control systems.
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Assist with developing & managing budgets\nfor maintaining & improving process control systems.
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Develop & maintain automation standards,\nspecifications & maintenance plans.
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Own self development & initiative to\nunderstand the site process control systems.
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Adhere to the automation standards &\nestablish new automation standards when necessary.
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Lead the site in establishing automation\ndirection & strategy (hardware & software standards).
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Lead troubleshooting for automation\-related\ndowntime.
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Function as a subject matter expert (SME) for\nassigned areas/technologies.
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Support audits & inspections as SME for\nprocess control systems.
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Demonstrate a thorough understanding of\nstakeholder management.

Requirements<\/h3>

\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Bachelor's Degree in engineering/related field\nor equivalent combination of experience & education required.
<\/span><\/p>

\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Minimum ten (10) years of engineering experience\nin process\-based manufacturing, utility &/or packaging systems required.
<\/span><\/p>

\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Experience troubleshooting automation &\ncontrol systems & batch processes required.
<\/span><\/p>

\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Experience working in a pharmaceutical\nmanufacturing environment required.
<\/span><\/p>

\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Knowledgeable in SCADA (i.e. iFix, Ignition,\nFactoryTalk), PLC & HMI (Rockwell/AB, Siemens, etc.), historian/data\ncollections required.
<\/span><\/p>

\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Programming & configuration of process\ncontrol systems required.
<\/span><\/p>

\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Windows based operating systems & associated\napplications required.
<\/span><\/p>

\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>System interfacing & integration & user\naccess management required.
<\/span><\/p>

\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Virtual machines/environments (preferably\nVMWare) preferred.
<\/span><\/p>

\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Knowledgeable in Oracle, MS SQL preferred.
<\/span><\/p>

\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>IT competencies to an understanding level:\ndomain, networking, firewall, group policies/permissions, system backup &\nrestore preferred.
<\/span><\/p>

\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Knowledgeable in MES (PAS\-X, etc.); MS SQL,\ndatabases preferred.
<\/span><\/p>

\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Proven expertise in planning/organization &\nproject execution required.<\/span>
