Sr Director Portfolio Management – Advanced Detection

As a Senior Director, Portfolio Management – Advanced Detection here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for leading the strategic direction and execution of our Advanced Detection product portfolio. This role reports directly to the President of our Fire business, providing high visibility and close alignment with executive leadership. You will develop and implement comprehensive strategies to ensure our products meet market demands, drive revenue growth, and maintain competitive advantage. Your role will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams including product development, engineering, marketing, sales, and finance to bring innovative solutions to market.

In this role, you will impact the overall success of our product offerings by driving product lifecycle management, identifying market opportunities, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. You will play a critical role in shaping the future of our product portfolio and delivering value to our customers and stakeholders.

As a leader, you will inspire and motivate your team to achieve results, foster a culture of innovation, and ensure effective communication and coordination across all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Portfolio Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for our offering portfolio, aligned with business objectives and market opportunities. Define the vision, goals, and priorities for the portfolio and ensure alignment with broader company strategies.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to retirement, for all offerings in the portfolio. Drive innovation and creativity in product development, ensuring that our offerings meet evolving customer needs and remain competitive in the market.
  • Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification: Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive threats. Identify new opportunities for portfolio expansion or optimization to drive revenue growth and market share.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including product development, engineering, marketing, sales, and finance to drive portfolio initiatives forward. Facilitate communication and coordination to support successful product launches and ongoing management.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new offerings and feature enhancements. Partner with marketing, sales, and other teams to ensure strong launch execution and adoption.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including executives, customers, partners, and industry influencers. Provide regular updates on portfolio performance and proactively address challenges.
  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor key performance metrics across the portfolio, including revenue, market share, and customer satisfaction. Use data-driven insights to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
  • Risk Management and Compliance: Ensure all offerings within the portfolio meet regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal compliance expectations.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Proven experience (typically 10+ years) in product management or portfolio management roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills
  • Deep understanding of market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and customer insights
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills

The annual base salary range for this position is $222,500 - $278,250. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
