Sr. FinOps Analyst

The Senior FinOps Analyst is responsible for driving financial accountability and optimization across cloud environments. This role partners closely with engineering, finance, and business stakeholders to provide visibility into cloud spend, identify cost efficiencies, and enable data-driven decision-making. The position plays a key role in maturing FinOps practices, improving cost governance, and aligning cloud investments with business priorities

  • Cloud Cost Management & Optimization: Analyze cloud spend, identify optimization opportunities, and implement cost-saving initiatives through collaboration with engineering teams to reduce waste and improve efficiency;

  • Financial Planning & Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate cloud spend forecasts and budgets using historical data and business trends to support financial planning and decision-making;

  • Reporting & Data Transparency: Build and maintain dashboards and reports that provide visibility into cloud costs, usage trends, and key drivers to enable informed decision-making across stakeholders;

  • Governance & Cost Allocation: Establish and enforce cloud financial governance practices, including tagging strategies and cost allocation models, to ensure accountability and transparency;

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Enablement: Partner with engineering, finance, and product teams to embed FinOps best practices, drive cost accountability, and support decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, or related field

  • Experience with cloud platforms and cost management tools

  • Strong analytical and data visualization skills (Excel, Power BI, or similar)

  • Familiarity with FinOps principles and cloud billing models

  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

  • Advanced English – this role interacts daily with global teams.
  • Availability to travel to São Carlos/SP when need it.
