Job Summary:<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

We are seeking an experienced HSE Engineer to ensure project safety and environmental compliance by translating regulations into practical on\-site actions. The ideal candidate will manage risk through audits and contractor reviews, lead incident investigations, coordinate training programs, and foster a proactive safety culture while ensuring compliance with company policies, client requirements, and applicable regulations.<\/span>

Key Responsibilities:<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

  • Ensure the project follows the HSE Management System, including policies, procedures, and legal requirements, aligning with ISO standards and client\-specific frameworks.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Evaluate and approve HSE plans, risk assessments, method statements, and emergency procedures submitted by contractors before work begins.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Perform daily and weekly site inspections to verify compliance with safety protocols, identify hazards, and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Provide direction to HSE Contractors, ensuring they monitor site activities effectively and consistently enforce safety requirements.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Conduct induction training, toolbox talks, and specialized safety training to enhance workforce competency and promote a strong safety culture.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Lead or oversee investigations of incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented to prevent recurrence.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Develop, test, and evaluate emergency response plans, ensuring drills are conducted in accordance with project requirements and performance standards.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure compliance with legal requirements and effective communication on HSE matters.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Compile and submit monthly HSE performance reports, inspection findings, incident statistics, and compliance updates to the client and project management.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Identify opportunities to enhance HSE performance, recommend improvements, and support initiatives that strengthen safety culture across the project.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Advise and assist the most senior construction site representative in the establishment and management of SH&E processes, identifying and eliminating or controlling hazards to persons and property.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Develop site\-specific work plans, SH&E compliance programs, training programs, and orientation plans that conform to relevant SH&E regulations and client requirements.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Collaborate with SH&E and project and program managers to evaluate contractors' SH&E performance, planning, and culture to ensure consistency with company risk management practices and core values.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Audit projects, programs, and worksites against corporate and client standards to detect and correct safety hazards and prepare written audit reports.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Conduct trend analysis on audit findings, inspection results, and incident reports, and prepare comprehensive analytical reports for management and client review.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Lead and supervise the emergency response team and first\-aid personnel, ensuring effective emergency support and proper care for occupational injuries or illnesses.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Prepare, review, and validate occupational safety and health statistical reports.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities relevant to the role as required by project or organizational needs.<\/span>

    Required Qualifications & Skills:<\/span><\/b>
    <\/p>

    • Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical).<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Minimum 12+ years of construction safety management experience in the Middle East region, with at least five years as a Lead OSH Engineer/Manager in Construction Supervision or Project Management roles with reputed consultants.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Previous experience in infrastructure projects.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Minimum Level 6 qualification (NVQ, NEBOSH International Diploma) or above is an added advantage.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • ISO 45001 certifications and recognized auditor qualification.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Familiarity with ADOSH\-SF standards and other local compliance requirements and regulations.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • OSH management experience in both infrastructure and building construction projects.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Exceptional interpersonal, oral, written communication, and report writing skills.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Ability to perform in a supervisory or managerial capacity.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Valid UAE Driver\u2019s License.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Experience working in Abu Dhabi is highly preferred.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Candidate must currently be based in the UAE.<\/span>
