Sr. Lab Test Engineer

What you'll do:
- Direct and coordinate integrated lab operations from pre-test preparation through execution, serving as the focal for test sequencing, anomaly response, and troubleshooting efforts
- Utilize lab test equipment and Archer's simulation environment to set up test cases, validate system requirements, and investigate issues
- Lead collaborative efforts with aircraft system engineers to develop test plans and procedures
- Integrate new capabilities in the labs, develop design verification test procedures, and verify functionality
- Feedback issues found during integrated lab testing to respective system and software teams, and collaborate on resolution and subsequent verification
- Occasional support of on-aircraft functional test and troubleshooting activities, including off-site support at Salinas, CA
- Support integrated lab test scheduling coordination
- Develop and maintain integrated test lab operating procedures
What you need:
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, or related field
- 6+ years of experience in aircraft system integration and test, or related field
- Demonstrated experience leading or directing test operations, including briefing crews, managing anomalies, and making real-time execution decisions
- Technical understanding of test equipment (oscilloscopes, meters, sensors) and their applicable use in a lab and aircraft test environment
- Ability to quickly interpret wiring diagrams and perform hands-on electrical troubleshooting
- Proficiency with data analysis tools for aircraft and system troubleshooting
- Holistic understanding of aircraft systems and their impact on higher-level vehicle capability
- Familiarity with communication protocols including CAN, A429, and serial/Ethernet interfaces
- Comfortable working on and around aircraft in both lab and flight line environments
- Ability to travel as required, including periodic off-site support
- Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience with HIL and/or real-time simulation environments
- Proficiency in Python for test automation and data processing
- Experience with fly-by-wire systems or high-voltage powertrain systems
- Experience maintaining and operating aircraft
- General aviation pilot certificate or equivalent flight experience

We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $130,000 - $158,000. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
